Portable Issues Strong Warning Against Marital Infidelity

Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly condemned marital infidelity following a controversy involving actor Baba Tee and comedian Ijoba Lande’s estranged wife, Darasimi.

The dispute began when Baba Tee admitted to having an affair with Darasimi, despite initially denying the allegations. The revelation prompted a strong reaction from Portable, who expressed disappointment in the actor.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, 10 March, Portable criticised the act of engaging in extra-marital relationships with married women, warning that it leads to setbacks in life. He further issued a stern warning regarding his own wife, actress Ashabi Simple, declaring that any man who attempts to get involved with her would face serious consequences.

“Why would you sleep with that guy’s wife?” said Portable before adding: “Don’t you know it’s a dirty thing that causes [a] setback?”

Despite his condemnation, the singer suggested that responsibility primarily lies with husbands to ensure their wives remain faithful. His remarks have sparked discussions on social media, with mixed reactions from the public.
